The Colony runs a twice-monthly bulk collection on designated Mondays. Your specific bulk days depend on your regular trash schedule, and there are clear rules about how items need to be prepared before they'll be picked up.
Appliances, BBQ grills, carpet and carpet pad (cut to 4-foot lengths), extra trash bags, fence panels cut in half, furniture, lawn mowers (oil and gas removed), water heaters, and general large household items.
Electronics, household hazardous waste, liquids, large construction debris, large metal objects, steel or fence posts, tires, and TVs.
Your bulk Mondays depend on your regular trash day. If your regular trash is Tuesday or Wednesday, your bulk days are the 1st and 3rd Mondays. If it's Thursday or Friday, your bulk days are the 2nd and 4th Mondays. Items need to be at the curb by 7 a.m. on your bulk Monday.
Self-Disposal Drop-Off: Camelot Landfill — free one-time landfill pass available at City Hall Customer Service during business hours. Requires active residential water account.
Household Hazardous Waste: HHW Collection Center — 5576 North Colony Blvd (east of Fire Station #2). Open 1st Monday 4–7 PM, 3rd Wednesday 1–4 PM, 3rd Saturday 8 AM – 12 PM. Bring TX Driver's License or current utility bill.
