Prosper is one of the more generous cities in the DFW area when it comes to bulk pickup — weekly collection with a decent volume limit. But there are still restrictions worth knowing before you set items at the curb.

Hazardous waste, car parts, tires, bricks, concrete, and other non-compactible materials. Refrigerant appliances (fridges, freezers, AC units) require certified Freon removal documentation before they'll be picked up.
Bulk waste is collected on the same day as your regular trash and recycling. Just place items at the curb before 7 a.m. No reservation or scheduling required. Prosper also offers a Saturday drop-off option at the Prosper Public Works Center — you'll need proof of residency.
Self-Disposal Drop-Off: Prosper Public Works Center — 601 W. 5th Street, Prosper, TX. Saturdays, 8 AM – 12 PM. Bring your Prosper utility bill as proof of residency.
Household Hazardous Waste: Prosper offers one free household hazardous waste pickup per year through Republic Services. Contact Utility Customer Service at 945-234-1924 to schedule.
